About Us

Born and raised in Tasmanian waters, the team at Eudaimonia believe that Tasmania is best explored outdoors.

At Eudaimonia Tasmanian Cycling Tours we think that riding along open roads, whether surrounded by trees, a body of water, a pack of cows, or maybe nothing but your own breath, is the perfect way to find oneself; to appreciate our place on this earth and how much there is around us.

Our Vision

We want to help you step away from your everyday routine of work and scheduled rides and experience Tasmania in the best way known by our team; on two self propelled wheels. We’re not here to tear each other to shreds (although in the right scenario, that is always a possibility). While we can’t guarantee tropical weather (or anything close for that matter), we’re here to find a balance between putting your feet up, relaxing by the pool and exploring what we have identified as the best parts of Tasmania.

Whether you have two hours or two weeks, we are here to do all the thinking for you.

From accommodation, route selection and the assurance of having a local to guide you along the way, we want you to experience the best Tassie has to offer.

Sofia Tsamassiros

With some people, you can simply tell by the warmth in their smile that you’re going to hit it off right away. They radiate charisma and genuinely want you to feel at ease - it’s like talking to a long-lost mate you never knew you had. That’s our head guide, Sofia Tsamassiros.

Cycling is about camaraderie, physical grit, immersing yourself in the great outdoors, the satisfaction of reaching your destination, and the taste of the coffee and cake so well earned. Sofia thrives in this environment and passionately wants to share these experiences with riders of all levels.

With a knack for adjusting her pace to mix with the strongest of cyclists or total newbies, when you’re in the saddle next to Sofia, you feel at ease covering the kilometres.

Whether it’s setting the pace in group rides or out chasing solo miles, Sofia is well known by the Hobart cycling community for going on some pretty rad two-wheeled adventures, both at home and further abroad. Sofia is an experienced cyclist, so when heading out with her, you know you’re in the right hands.

Sofia believes Tassie is best explored by bike. She wants to open that mindset up to the wider community, sharing the wonder that can found across this pristine island with the wind on your face and your feet clipped in.

Some people ride bikes, some people like bikes,

Bikes have always been a part of my life. From my first proper mountain bike (the world renowned Shogun Trail Breaker 3, with index gears and bar ends) to the present where I get to assist people in getting the first bike, their dream bike or just another bike (all important n + 1) Bicycles are just great. I love the freedom they offer, the fun they deliver and I’m a sucker for a really good looking bike too.

Often described as a bike owner and not as much a rider, he is always on the look out for the next bike to join the fleet. (Often fitting in to some unnecessary niche)

After growing up in Queensland I made the move to Tasmania on a whim and it very quickly it became home. I love the state and everything it has on offer. And for riders it's an absolute haven. I’m loving the opportunity to share it with people and show them some great places.

I like to think of myself as an enabler… in a good way. Helping people do the things they love to do and showing them what they are capable of.
