Eudaimonia Community
A slower, more meaningful cycling lifestyle in Tasmania, with access to rides, trips, and like-minded community.
Find Your Place In Cycling.
Buying a bike is easy. Finding your people is hard.
The Eudaimonia Community exists to help bridge the gap between owning a bike and feeling like you truly belong in the cycling world. Whether you're riding your first 20km, dreaming of your first bikepacking trip, or chasing your next big challenge, we're here to help you build confidence, connection and community.
Join weekly rides, bikepacking adventures, workshops and a supportive network of riders who genuinely want to see you succeed.
You don't need to be fast. You don't need expensive gear. You just need to start.
Why We Built the Eudaimonia Community
Most people buy a bike full of excitement. Then they're left to figure everything out themselves. Where do I ride? Who do I ride with? How do I improve? What gear do I need? Am I fit enough? Will I slow everyone down?
We know because we've been there.
Eudaimonia was created to provide the kind of support, knowledge and community we wished existed when we first started riding.
Today, we're helping riders across lutruwita / Tasmania build confidence, discover new adventures and find a place where they feel they belong.
Because cycling should be about more than kilometres. It should be about people.

Wednesday - Mount Nelson
Join us every Wednesday for a ride to watch the sunrise at the top of Mount Nelson. This ride goes straight up and down a hill, so is not for the faint hearted, however it is a great ride to get those climbing legs into gear!
-
Every Wednesday at 6am from Bob and Tom’s Servo (corner of Hampden & Sandy Bay rd)
-
Riders who want a bit more of a challenge.
Pace: 25 - 28km/h
-
We have three regroup points at the top of Churchill ave, the top of Mount Nelson Bends and at the Mount Nelson lookout for a compulsory sunrise photo. Please note this route is quite hilly so the average speed will be slower than other routes. Then we’ll head back down to coffee at Two Folk Espresso
Thursday - Kingston
Join us every Thursday for an inclusive ride into Kingston and back. This ride is great for learning how to ride in a bunch while simultaneously pushing your limits a little bit further.
-
Every Thursday at 6am and 6:10am from Bob & Tom’s Servo (corner of Hampden and Sandy Bay rd)
-
Riders of all abilities.
We run two paces to try and create a space for riders of different abilities.
6am: 22 - 25km/h
6:10am: 25 - 28km/h
Please note, we may run the one bunch over winter if numbers are low. We will keep you up to date in our group chat when you sign up as a member.
-
We have created two start times for this ride depending on your ability. The 6am start time averages around 22 - 25km/h, while the 6:10am start time averages 25 - 28km/h. The ride is designed this way so all riders end up at the coffee shop together - or possibly the slower riders get a tow in from the faster group.
Femme Friday
After so much success from our monthly Girl Gang rides, we have finally created a weekly ride to keep more women engaged on a regular basis! This ride is chill and all about the chats along the way.
-
Every Friday at 6:30am from Bob & Tom’s Servo
-
Women of all abilities. We have created this space specifically to help get more women into riding. We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider on the day. Usually 20 - 24km/h.
-
We have designed this ride to engage and create a space for female cyclists on a more regular basis. Join us for chats, pedal and of course coffee at Six Russell Bakes post ride!
Sunday Burrito Ride
The joke ride that accidentally became a thing! While sometimes a little bit faster than advertised, it’s suitable for hitters looking for recovery or others just wanting a weekly hit out.
-
Every Sunday at 7am from Zambrero Sandy Bay
Please note this is the only ride that leaves from a different location!
-
Riders who want a bit more of a challenge.
Pace: 26 - 29km/h
-
The focus is very much on enjoying good company, just don’t expect any actual Burritos. Compulsory coffee at Ozus in Battery Point.
Monthly & Quarterly Rides
Girl Gang Saturday (Monthly)
On the last Saturday of each month, we run a monthly Girl Gang ride to help women get into cycling, keep them riding bikes and just generally build community. We usually head to Kingston and back to keep the ride inclusive, however occasionally add other rides if there is desire to do so.
When: Last Saturday of each month at 8am
Where: Bob and Tom’s Servo (corner of Hampden and Sandy Bay rd)
Who: Women of all abilities.
What: We have designed this ride to help women gain more confidence on the road and meet more female cyclists in the hope we can further forge connection and friendship within our community.
Queer Rides (Monthly)
We are so excited to be bridging the gap and creating an inclusive environment with our addition of our Queer Rides! We run these on the second Sunday of each month. These rides are more chill, less lycra focused and just about fostering community and creativity!
When: Second Sunday of each month
Where: Bob and Tom’s Servo (corner of Hampden and Sandy Bay rd)
Who: Queer folk and allies of all abilities.
What: We felt like there was a missing space in the riding and queer community, so wanted to help bridge the gap between the two. Our queer rides are designed as a safe space for all. They are focused more on exploring the back roads and going for an adventure rather than focusing on distance or getting anywhere in particular.
Support our vision and get involved! Our Community membership is a great way to show your appreciation of the Eudaimonia events and rides in our community and is for those who may only come to a couple of rides per year.
