Cancellation Policy & Covid-19 Information
We are excited to have freedom to move around in Tasmania again and have tours back up and running, however we also acknowledge that travelling at this time can be stressful and uncertain. As such, we have come up with a flexible cancellation policy for all Covid related changes.
Our Flexible Cancellation Policy
If you book directly with us, we have a flexible cancellation policy:
To ensure peace of mind, in case of ongoing international travel restrictions, for all 2023 bookings you have the option to move your booking to any future date if you cannot attend your trip. This needs to be done 30 days prior to the start of your trip, otherwise our normal T&Cs will apply. We will review any sudden changes to international travel restrictions on a case by case basis.
For non-COVID related cancellations our normal cancellation policy applies. Once a tour package is booked, 25% of the tour is non-refundable. Within 90 days of the tour departure 50% will be non-refundable. Within 30 days of the tour departure 75% is non-refundable. Within 7 days of the tour departure we reserve the right to charge 100% of the tour package.
Please note that if you book through a third-party website or travel agent, they each impose their own cancellation policies and restrictions.
Our COVID-Safe Measures Include
We have the benefit of operating small boutique tours, however still ensure we comply with government restrictions, such as social distancing where appropriate throughout the tour.
Additional cleaning and disinfecting of the tour bus and facilities is performed, focusing on high touch surfaces.
Hand sanitiser is always accessible on any stops made during a tour.
Contact details for each individual are collected as part of the booking process to enable contact tracing.
Staff have been directed not to come to the workplace if they are unwell.
Your duties as a guest
We strongly recommend you have your own travel insurance for the duration of the trip, in case of illness, accidents or simply last minute cancellations from your part.
We require a 25% deposit for all bookings. We will then send out a final invoice 90 days prior to the tour departure.
It is essential that you inform our staff if you:
Are unwell with flu-like symptoms including headache, fever, sore throat
Aave COVID-19
Are waiting for COVID test results
Are a close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19
Have recently been in a declared COVID-19 hotspot
Are required to quarantine under a Public Health Order
As a guest you must ensure that you maintain good personal hygiene, follow the directions of our staff and comply with our COVID-Safe measures.
Deposits and Payments
Bookings made more than 90 days prior to departure are required to pay 25% of the full payment to secure the booking. 90 days before the trip starts a final invoice will be sent with the remaining balance.
Bookings made 90 days or less prior to departure are required to make full payment to secure the booking.
Online payment to be made by credit card (surcharge applies). Single supplement: All accommodation is twin share. Requests for guaranteed single accommodation must be made at the time of booking.
In the unlikely event that we are unable to operate the tour, and we certainly hopes this never happens, your deposit/tour costs will be refunded to you in full, minus an administration fee or may be transferred to another tour at your discretion.
