The Springdale loop takes you up over Collinsvale and into the beautiful Myrtle forest surrounding Springdale. Like most Tassie routes, this one is not for the faint hearted, locally known as the ‘triple crown’, this route is 20km of straight up and down. The roads however are nice and quiet, so it a beautiful ride to enjoy the scenery and leave the city behind.
How Long is this ride?
This ride is 50km in distance, however has its fair share of hills.
Difficulty
All rides are designed to showcase some of our favourite parts of our doorstep, which generally involves a number of hills. As such we recommend you have some form of bike experience to give these rides a go… and come with your best climbing legs (or at least a good attitude).
This is one of the harder short rides in and around Hobart, however like most of our rides, we think it is worth the effort and none of the hills are too steep.
Suggested Finish Locations:
Coffee: Agent Cooper
Alcohol, beers and burgers: We recommend making a post ride recovery stop at Moonah Hotel if you’re that way inclined.
